NCMMetal category

NCM co-extraction extractants

Reagents for co-extracting nickel, cobalt and manganese in one circuit, used where the downstream product needs a fixed metal ratio.

Co-extraction is specified from the target Ni:Co:Mn ratio, feed concentration and the acceptable magnesium and calcium loading.

Process context

Where the reagent sits in the circuit

  1. 01

    Feed preparation

Leach solution is clarified and adjusted before co-extraction so that the metal ratio stays stable.

  2. 02

    Co-extraction

QL256-1 loads nickel and cobalt together; QL256-2 adds manganese to the same strip liquor.

  3. 03

    Strip and crystallise

DY319 delivers a combined nickel-cobalt strip for battery recycling feeds and precursor precipitation.

Questions

Before you specify

  • What information do you need to recommend a reagent?

The feed assay (metal tenor and main impurities), acidity, the stage where the reagent will work, and the target strip liquor or product specification. A flowsheet sketch helps but is not required for a first recommendation.

  • Can one model cover several metals?

Some phosphoric ester and phosphinic acid reagents work across nickel, cobalt, vanadium and rare earth circuits, but the loading window is set per application. A model that suits one separation may need a different acidity or modifier in another.

  • How are samples shipped?

Sample quantity and packing are agreed against the trial scope, then shipped with handling information. Documentation follows the destination country and the carrier requirements.

Include the ncm co-extraction tenor, acidity and the main competing ions. A model recommendation follows from those values.
