P204 extractant
Di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA / HDEHP)
CAS 298-07-7
P204 is a di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid extractant with a measured active content of 95.64%. It sits at the front of laterite nickel flowsheets, taking iron and other impurities out of the leach solution before nickel and cobalt are separated, and it also carries vanadium recovery and rare earth grouping duties.
- 95.64% active content
- First impurity-removal stage
- Laterite nickel ore

Typical use
First impurity-removal stage in laterite nickel leach circuits, vanadium recovery from acidic liquors and rare earth grouping stages.
- 01On laterite nickel ore the reagent removes iron, aluminium and calcium ahead of the nickel-cobalt split.
- 02Loading is controlled by acidity; small pH shifts change selectivity between adjacent metals.
- 03Isooctyl phosphonate content of 1.89% and the 90 s phase separation are checked on each batch certificate.
