DY316 extractant
Lithium extractant for brine and recycle streams
CAS on request
DY316 loads lithium selectively from high-salinity solutions so that direct lithium extraction can run without long solar evaporation. It needs no modifier at 60–70% organic concentration, strips with 6 mol/L hydrochloric acid to a lithium chloride stream, and is supplied as DY316-01 for waste batteries and DY316-02 for salt-lake brine and ore liquors.
- DLE without long evaporation
- ≥1.5 g/L Li at 60%
- No modifier required
- Room-temperature operation

Typical use
Salt-lake brine and geothermal water, oilfield production water, mineral leach solutions and black mass leach liquor from spent lithium-ion batteries.
- 01The circuit runs pretreatment, extraction, scrubbing of sodium and potassium, then stripping to a lithium-rich solution.
- 02Brine composition, especially magnesium and sulphate, drives the pre-treatment sequence before the organic is loaded.
- 03The lithium-rich strip goes to carbonate or hydroxide precipitation after polishing.
